REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE – Asset Manager

 

The Belltown group operates across the US and the UK in sustainable energy and regenerative farming. Belltown Farms operates organic grain farms across the US and is recruiting an administration and bookkeeping professional to support its organic farming operations.

 

Location: Role can be remote; Company is headquartered in Chestnut Hill, PA (Philadelphia)

Compensation: Competitive Salary plus benefits

Timing: start as soon as possible

 

The role will include:

  • Supporting company administration and basic finances
  • Administrative support for the farm managers
  • Contract management
  • Assisting with farming software
  • Supporting equipment purchases
  • Managing expenses
  • Bookkeeping
  • Loading bank transactions
  • Data entry
  • Supporting insurance administration
  • Assisting in setting and monitoring farm operational budgets, identifying issues, comparing with year-ago results and projections
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion and filing of all statutory reporting (tax, water reporting and FSA returns)
  • Analysing business processes and developing cost saving controls
  • Providing project management support to Regional Managers and Farm Managers for special farm improvement projects – comparing vendor quotes, tracking against planned timeline and spend, flagging issues
  • Ongoing training and personal development opportunities
  • Your role is significant and important to the successful running of the Company’s business and your work will have the ability to affect business operations to a substantial degree.  You will perform work directly related to the running or servicing of the Company’s business and it is therefore accuracy and timeliness is important.  In performing your role you will be expected to exercise discretion and independent judgement in order to discharge your responsibilities and meet the objectives of your role above.

 

The ideal candidate will have much of the following:

  • Bachelors degree
