Graduate Program in Organic Farming
Belltown Farms is dedicated to nurturing the future leaders of organic farming in the United States. Our Graduate Program seeks to cultivate a new generation of industry frontrunners with a deep-rooted commitment to organic agriculture. Applications are currently open for the 2025 program.
Program Overview:
Are you passionate about organic farming and eager to embark on a graduate role? Join our structured two-year program designed to provide hands-on experience and professional growth within the realm of organic farming at Belltown Farms. The program comprises multiple modules spread over 12 months, followed by a year-long placement at one of our organic farm locations.
Program Highlights:
– In the first year, participants will undergo rotational placements across various organic farm properties nationwide, alongside valuable exposure to farm executives.
– Each module is crafted to provide experience with various types of operations, from field activities through to corporate services, and various crops.
– The second year entails a placement at one property.
– An experienced Regional Manager will be assigned as a mentor throughout the graduate’s tenure.
– Graduates may be considered favorably for permanent positions arising during or after the program.
– This is a paid opportunity, including accommodation (sometimes shared) on the farm premises, with relocation expenses covered by Belltown Farms.
Graduate Profile and Selection Criteria:
Ideal candidates will:
– Be final-year students at accredited universities, pursuing studies in Agricultural Science, Farm Management, or Agribusiness at Bachelor level or higher.
– Exhibit honesty, enthusiasm, and a fervent desire for knowledge, coupled with a dedication to advancing their career in organic agriculture.
– Be authorized to work in the US and possess long-term aspirations in the agricultural industry.
– Be able to start in September 2024 or January 2025
– Hold a valid driver’s license.
