Job Title: Controller

 

We are looking for a skilled Finance Controller to support our Finance Director in managing the financial operations of our agriculture company. The Finance Controller will play a critical role in supporting all financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance, strong analytical skills, and experience in the agriculture sector, enabling them to contribute effectively to the company’s financial strategies and operational success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

– Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

– Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations.

– Support the Finance Director in preparing statutory reports and tax filings.

– Help coordinate the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.

 

Budgeting & Forecasting:

– Contribute to the development and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts.

– Analyze monthly operating results and provide insights to support budget adherence and forecast accuracy.

– Collaborate with department leads to gather financial data and ensure accurate budgeting.

 

Financial Analysis & Support:

– Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and capital investments.

– Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Finance Director to drive business performance.

– Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.

 

Cash Flow Management:

– Support cash flow planning and management to ensure liquidity and optimal use of resources.

– Assist in maintaining banking relationships and managing the company’s treasury functions.

 

Internal Controls & Risk Management:

– Assist in the development and enforcement of internal control policies and procedures.

– Identify potential financial risks and work with the Finance Director to develop mitigation strategies.

– Ensure that financial processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant with regulations.
